I love you guys, so I am not going to lie to you. I have never been a James Bones fan. There you go, the truth. Do not get me wrong, they are not bad films. I just think they are overly hyped, average movies. I was bored while watching the trailer. The action looks grand, but I need more than this one-trick-pony to watch a film. It registers in my mind as a recycled plot from the new Mission Impossible flick, or at the very least, Batman: Court of Owls (for you comic book fans out there). In any case, count me out. I rather wait for the next reboot of the franchise to give it a chance. Maybe, another trailer could change my mind, but for now I will pass!

  1. I seem to have jumped the gun on this one, saw it was imminent and assumed it was Flicker Alley’s MOD version. This Flicker Alley version is quite good technically, but the one you review appears to be better? And perhaps a more appealing score?

Regardless there doesn’t appear to be a Region B release yet, I’ll have to cogitate before moving into completist mode.

  2. This film has a very special place in my heart. My dad and I watched it together when I was young and we were both laughing so hard, with tears in our eyes, when Chaplin was being chased around the cabin table by Max Swain…..so, so funny. It is a memory I treasure

  3. Without a moment’s hesitation pre-ordered Early Women Filmmakers from Flicker Alley. Thanks so much for the tip- it looks to be a must-have!
